|Top Club Trophy for Sheffield Diving|
|Sheffield Diving has won the Dawson Shield for top team performance in the Swim England Diving National Age Group Championships.
Theo Wellington starred for Sheffield, winning four medals in the 10/11 years competitions including two gold medals. He took gold on platform and 3 metre, silver on 1 metre, and bronze, with Oscar Wilcox, in the 1 metre synchro event. Oscar also won bronze in the 1 metre individual competition.
Amelia Scott was also a quadruple medallist. In the 14/15 years age group, Amelia won gold on 3 metre, silver on platform, bronze on 1 metre and took another silver, with Millie Rose Hartley in the 3 metre synchro competition.
The 12/13 years events saw some exceptional performances with Sheffield divers winning all the individual competitions. Nathaniel Greig won gold on 1 metre with Arthur Turner-Rowe taking silver. Arthur won the 3 metre event with Jack Burrows in second place. Jack then took gold on platform with Nathaniel winning the silver medal.
Star dive from these events came from Jack with a spectacular inward 2½ which achieved a massive 71 points. Katie Garner won bronze medals on 3 metre and platform in the same age group for girls.
In the 14/15 years competitions, Elliot Dillon won gold on platform and a silver medal with Finlay Evans-Morris in the 3 metre synchro event. Elliot Johnson won bronze on 1 metre as did Callum Bell in the 16+ age group.
Good performances were also produced by Phoebe Prescott, Sophie Mae Hancox, Rebecca Vega, Hannah Blake, Daisy Fowler, Charis Bell, Rachel Barker, Millie-Rose Hartley, Lily Godbole, Alice Prescott, Archie Biggin and Lewis Neilson.
Coach Georgia Davenport said “performances throughout the team were very impressive with many divers lifting their levels under competition pressure. We are particularly pleased to have won 7 gold medals.”
