Sheffield Diving attended the diving event of the year, National Elite Junior Championships. After a gruelling week for divers, coaches and volunteers Sheffield Diving came away with 7 medals, 3 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze. Millie Haffety, who had her best competition to date the week before in Gatineau, Canada, led a Sheffield Diving shut out with Yasmin Harper taking the silver medal, and Sarah Leech taking home the bronze medal in the Women’s A 1m event. Yasmin Harper completed her nationals off with claiming the silver medal in the Women’s A 3m event. Owen Harrison won gold with Brandon Foster, SDA, in the Boys 16+ Platform Synchro event. Owen then went on to win silver in his individual event, he scored 9’s on his armstand and 9.5’s on 405C. Richelle Houlden added to her growing collection of gold medals by winning the 12/13 years 3 metre. Jessica Vega and Harrison Case both came 4th in their respective events, just missing out on medals. Great job by Joseph Pashley, Oliver Hoban and Raffael Benitez who made finals to finish top 6 in the country. Issac Trueman-Marsden, Francis Curtis, Adam Charity, Harrison Hartley, Holly-May Prasanto, Molly Bulmer, Millie Fairhurst-Marshall and Martha Clarke also performed well in their events.
