Membership

The Club is the competitive outlet for the Sheffield City Council Diving Training Scheme and has members aged from 6-81 years old. When divers begin competing they must become a registered member of an amateur club. The City of Sheffield Diving Club “COSDC” was formed to give divers participating in the council run training squads, an avenue to compete.

To join the Club divers pay an annual membership fee. This fee is aligned with the prices set by the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA). There is also an optional associate membership available for parents and committee members. Any parent or guardian wishing to chaperone is required to become an associate member of the Club.

Monies paid for annual membership includes registration as appropriate with:

• ASA
• GBDF (Masters)
• NERASA (North East Region ASA)
• Sheffield & District
• Yorkshire ASA

Annual Subscription also includes:

• Insurance with the ASA
• Club newsletters
• Administration costs (stationary and postage)
• Equipment
• Annual Audit of Accounts
• Monies towards Coaches expenses at competitions (travel and accommodation)
